Soumya Bukkapatnam

Soumya is a fourth-year undergraduate student at UCLA pursuing a major degree in Cognitive Science. She is specifically interested in brain injury recovery and health literacy. Currently she is working on the Brain Health Project, focused on building AI tools to detect medical misinformation. She also is currently working as an EMT and volunteering with the Care Extenders Program at Ronald Reagan Medical Center. Outside of academics, she loves cooking, watching a good rom-com, and traveling. Fun fact about her, she also has a twin that is attending UCLA.
