Aaron Soghomonian is a 4th year transfer student at UCLA pursuing a major in Psychobiology. With a strong interest in biobehavioral changes in the body and the brain, Aaron joined two research labs in the past year. He volunteers for Dr. Ina Wanner and her research to advance our understanding of cellular injury mechanisms, treat wounded brain cells with neuroprotective agents and to improve diagnostic tools for patients with traumatic spinal cord or brain injuries. Aaron also recently joined BrainSPORTas a Research Assistant for the Care4Kids study where he conducts multiple tests on patients who recently suffered sports-related concussions. Outside of his schoolwork and research, Aaron loves to watch and play soccer, basketball, and tennis as well as spend time with friends and family. Aaron hopes to attend medical school in the future, and he wants to enjoy each step throughout his journey.
