Alina Eunchae Ryu is a first-year undergraduate student at UCLA pursuing a degree in Psychobiology. Alina is passionate about understanding neurodegenerative conditions and exploring the importance of individualized treatments in different neurological scenarios. With her multicultural background, accompanied by acculturation into Indonesia and Vietnam after being born and raised in South Korea, she values a holistic approach to understanding medicine. Alina’s research interests include the effect of biochemical, cognitive, and sociocultural dimensions of human behavior in psychology and medicine. Outside of BrainSPORT research, Alina strives to facilitate a community for mental health support through music by volunteering at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center to play the piano for patients.
