About
Ashley Hiti is a third-year undergraduate student at UCLA pursuing degrees in Neuroscience and Political Science. Ashley has always taken an interest in concussion protocol and recovery, specifically in sports. This led to her becoming a student sports medicine intern through UCLA Athletics where she has had the opportunity to interact with athletes, coaches, and physicians to learn more about concussions in sports. Ashley became involved with BrainSPORT in late 2022 through the HitIQ study which used helmet sensors to examine the force generated by repetitive hits at football practice. She is now involved in the study of rTMS as a treatment for persistent post-concussive symptoms. In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing with her dog Daisy, listening to podcasts, and traveling. Ashley hopes to go onto graduate school to continue conducting research and advocate for science based policies.
